Community & Service Day Sign-ups |
|
On Friday, February 12th, we will have our second Community & Service Day for this school year. Students will need to sign up for the activities in which they will participate. Space is limited on many of these activities, so please sign up soon. Students can access the online form here.
One of our activities will be a Walk for Haiti. Students participating will be sponsored and will raise money with each lap completed. The money raised will go towards rebuilding efforts. Please consider sponsoring a student. Students may download their pledge forms here. Students must have their sponsorship form in order to walk.
This event is an important component of the education we provide your student. Please be sure to have your child sign up for the activity they prefer. All students are expected to attend this half day, and help make a difference in their community.

It sounds complicated, but it's really not. If you are graduating this year, you MUST complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Many schools have deadlines as early as February 1st for this form to be submitted. As additional incentive for prompt completion, all seniors who have filled theirs out by February 15th will be included in a pizza party hosted by our College Access Counselor, LeAnn Welch!

What an Incredible Blood Drive! |
|
(A letter to Ariel Poss from Trish Black, Blood Assurance) There are no words to say that would be adequate in expressing my appreciation for all you and your students did for us yesterday. I know the day was hectic, confusing at times and very busy….but you guys had a wonderful blood drive.
Our preliminary numbers show that we interviewed 111 and drew 117 pints of blood!!! Remember, the Alyx donations count for 2 that is why we were able to draw more than the number interviewed. That is absolutely amazing!!! Please extend our greatest THANKS to all the students who participated…..whether by donating or recruiting donors. We had a wonderful day and it’s all because you and all the students, faculty and staff believe in what we do!
